Author Rights Statement

At Wilder Creek Publishing, we believe authors should always retain control over their creative work.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in a signed agreement:

All rights to the submitted manuscript remain with the author.
We do not claim ownership of your content.
You may republish, revise, or remove your work at your discretion, subject to the terms of any publishing agreement entered into.

If an ISBN has been issued under our publishing imprint and a retraction or transfer is requested, we will work with the author to accommodate a formal withdrawal or reassignment where possible.

Use of ISBNs and Metadata

If you purchase a publishing package that includes ISBN registration:

ISBNs may be registered under Wilder Creek Publishing or under your name, depending on your selection.
ISBNs are non-refundable once assigned, as they are legally registered and irreversible.
ISBN transfer requests after publication will be honored wherever feasible, subject to a $199 imprint withdrawal and reversion fee. Transfers may be limited or delayed only when:
- The book’s ISBN and metadata have already been finalized and submitted to public registries (e.g., Bowker, Nielsen, or global cataloging systems),
- ISBN reversion would violate publishing agency rules,
- The author is in material breach of agreement, or
- Outstanding balances remain unpaid.

Refund Policy for Services

Wilder Creek Publishing offers straightforward publishing support at transparent prices. However, due to the customized and often immediate nature of these services, refunds are limited as follows:

A. Fully Refundable (Before Services Begin):

If you cancel within 72 hours of purchase and no services have been rendered, you are eligible for a full refund.

B. Partially Refundable (Work In Progress):

If services have begun (e.g., account creation, ISBN prep, metadata drafts), a partial refund may be issued based on work completed.
You may be charged a $50 processing fee plus any third-party registration costs already incurred.

C. Non-Refundable Services:

ISBN assignments
Metadata submissions
Website or dashboard setup
Customized promotional content
AI originality scans or certification reports

Author-Initiated Withdrawal

If you choose to discontinue publishing through Wilder Creek Publishing after services have been rendered, you may:

Request to retract the ISBN listing and metadata (where possible)
Remove your name from the Wilder Creek website or directory
Have your account access suspended upon request

Please note: Refunds are not issued for voluntarily withdrawn projects after services are rendered.

Our Right to Refuse or Revoke Services

We reserve the right to cancel or revoke services without refund in the case of:

Submission of plagiarized, AI-generated, defamatory, or hate-based content
Violation of our publishing standards or Terms and Conditions
Fraudulent payment or false identity

In such cases, your project may be terminated and all publishing links, ISBNs, or author access disabled. You may be billed for any external costs incurred on your behalf.

We value transparency and will always strive to resolve concerns fairly.

Wilder Creek Publishing reserves the right to reject or retract any work that violates our publishing standards. We are committed to uplifting diverse, respectful voices and do not tolerate content that targets individuals or groups based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, or disability.
