Wilder Creek Publishing ARC Program Orientation Page

Welcome to the Wilder Creek ARC Program

Thank you for becoming a part of our Advanced Reader Community. You have become an elite, First Reader of our novels.

As an ARC reader, you are joining the frontline of our mission:

To support indie authors, elevate emerging voices, and help shape the future of powerful, ethical storytelling.

This orientation will guide you through the expectations, responsibilities, and opportunities of being part of Wilder Creek’s trusted family.

What is the ARC Program?

Our ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) Program invites passionate readers to access pre-release versions of upcoming titles in exchange for feedback and honest reviews. You will:

  • Read early versions of indie novels before they’re published

  • Submit a brief feedback form

  • Leave a public review when the book is released

In return, you’ll gain early access to books, shape their success, be listed on the acknowledgement page of the novels you reviewed (unless you choose to opt out of being mentioned), and build your reputation within the Wilder Creek family.

How the Program Works

  1. Join the ARC Program

    • Complete the [ARC Intake Form] and agree to the terms

    • Receive your ARC Member ID (e.g., ARC-0345)

    • Complete the Non Disclosure Agreement
  2. Get Matched With Books

    • Based on your genre preferences, we’ll send invitations to review specific upcoming titles

    • Use the search function within your ARC Member dashboard to view other ARC manuscripts waiting for reviews

  3. Receive the Book

    • You’ll be given secure, watermarked access via Google Drive (view-only or protected download)

  4. Submit Feedback

    • Fill out the private ARC Feedback Form

    • Complete the required Wilder Creek Website review

  5. Publish Your Review

    • When the book goes live, post your review on Amazon, Goodreads, or another listed platform

ARC Responsibilities

By accepting an ARC, you agree to:

  • Read the book within the assigned timeframe (usually 14–30 days)

  • Submit the ARC Feedback Form in full

  • Leave an honest, respectful review on the platforms specified

  • Refrain from sharing, duplicating, or redistributing the ARC copy

You are not required to give positive reviews. We ask only for fairness, clarity, and honesty.

Confidentiality & Watermarking

All ARC copies are:

  • Digitally watermarked with your ARC Member ID

  • Provided via controlled Google Drive access

  • Traceable if shared or leaked

Sharing ARC files will result in removal from the program and possible legal recourse.

Recognition for Your Support

Unless you opt out, you will be listed in the Acknowledgements section of each book you help review, as a First Reader. You’re a vital part of this publishing journey, and we want the world to know it.

Your ARC Toolkit

You will be assigned an individual ARC Member ID Number and have access to your own dashboard:

  • ARC Reading Schedule

  • Assigned Titles

  • Feedback Form Links

  • Your ARC Review Stats

  • Certificates of Completion
